What we fit in Waterford
Tom Geraghty Tyre Services has fitted tyres in Waterford since 1981. Because we are independent, the rack is Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Uniroyal, Firestone, Hankook, BF Goodrich and honest value lines — not one factory’s leftover sizes.
Grattan Quay on X91 NX74 is the passenger depot: cars, vans and 4x4s, fitted and balanced while you wait when the size is in stock. Newrath, just off the Dublin/Kilkenny road, is commercial, agri and a working stock of passenger tyres if you are already out that side of the city.
How an enquiry works
Send an enquiry with the registration, the size on the sidewall (for example 205/55R16) and whether you want premium, mid-range or budget. We call to confirm the depot and a time. There is no card payment on the enquiry form — you pay in the workshop.
Already know the tyre? Buy the set in the shop, pay with Stripe, and we fit when you collect at Grattan Quay. If the size on the car does not match the page, stop and send an enquiry instead. Guessing a plus-size is how arches get rubbed and speedos lie.
- Every new tyre is balanced before it leaves the bay
- We will say if a cheaper option is the honest choice
- Mixed brands on one axle are a safety issue we will not do
Irish roads, not a brochure
Waterford’s river roads, South Kilkenny lanes and the N25 punish a pretty compound that cannot clear water. Wet grip on the EU label is the number we talk about before price. A touring tyre with an A wet rating will out-stop a bargain sidewall in November rain.
If you want the set on the car this week, call Grattan Quay on 051 873777 or Newrath on 051 857666 with the size. If you want to pay online first, open the tyre shop.
